| Ford V8/289, Automatic, Red, Black Interior / Top - very solid car. Early production 65, assembled in Dearborn, Mich. 76A H 22 05H 24 61. Although it is not perfect, it is a very nice looking, sounding and running car. 289 Engine, Automatic Transmission. I purchased the car in 2003. Was told that it had been restored in 1993. Has been garage kept and never driven in poor weather. The body is straight - paint is very good with a few minor chips. Floors, Frame, Rails and Shock Towers appear to be original and in good shape. All glass is in nice condition – windshield new in 2002. Windows all function correctly. All Lights, Signals and Gauges are operational. All chrome is in good condition. Trunk in excellent condition with new trunk matt, jack bag and accessory bag. New tail light lenses and bezels installed in 2002. INTERIOR: Interior in good overall condition. Driver’s seat has small section where seam is pulling – approx 3-1/2”. Carpet is in excellent condition – very black – not faded. Following items were new in 2002: Mustang Floor Mats, Door Panels, Sunvisors, Header Bar, Rearview Mirror, Glove Box, Door Handles, Window Cranks. ENGINE/DRIVE TRAIN: 289 Strong and Starts Easy. Some minor leaks. Doesn’t smoke. Transmission shifts nicely. Complete Flowmaster Dual Exhaust System (sounds awesome), Radiator – all installed in 2002. CONVERTIBE TOP: Top is black and in excellent condition – no rips or tears. Looks great with the top up or down. Convertible boot is in like-new condition. New since I purchased in 2003: Chromed 4-barrel card, Chromed Adelbrock Intake Manifold, Chrome shock tower caps, Chrome valve covers, Chrome master cylinder cap, Chrome HiPo Air Cleaner, Washer bag and bracket (not functional – just to complete the look), Chrome export braces, Engine detailed and painted, 1965-66 Radio and CD Changer Kit (AM?FM, Cassette and 6 CD Changer in trunk) – this is a retro-fit kit – did NOT cut dash (also have original AM radio if you want to put it back into more original state). Molded kick panels with Pioneer speakers. Shifter bezel w/ seal and dial. Instrument bezel and lens. Turn signal lever. Convertible top boot snap kit. Trunk Armor fuel safety plate. Manual choke.
